On Tuesday, February 2, 2022 Theta member Nakita Thomas (left in picture) presented Madeline Bailey, a new Exceptional Children's educator at Snipes Academy with a "Buzzing BEE" (Beginning Educator Excelling) award and gift bag as Principal Rachel Manning looks on. This award, created by the NC DKG Beginning Teacher Support Committee, recognizes an Initially Licensed Teacher, in her first three years of teaching, who does something special! Nakita says that Madeline implemented research-based techniques to promote reading growth for her 3rd grade students.
Congratulations to JT Hoggard High School teachers, Paulee Serret, Culinary Arts and Hospitality (in the left photo), and Natalie Wood, Exceptional Children's teacher, who received their Buzzing Bee Awards from Theta member and Hoggard High School Principal Mary Paul Beall and Theta member and Hoggard Assistant Principal Drew Hudspeth.
